HOT YEAST ROLLS 
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 pkgs. yeast
2 c. lukewarm water
1 egg
1/4 c. shortening
6 1/2-7 c. flour

Combine sugar and salt with 2 cups lukewarm water in large mixing bowl. Dissolve yeast in sugar mixture. Stir in egg. Add shortening. Add 1/2 the flour, stirring well. Add remaining flour gradually, stirring until dough leaves side of bowl. Place dough in greased bowl turning to grease surface. Cover with damp cloth. Place in refrigerator for 1 hour. Punch dough down. Shape into rolls.
