KRINGLE 
DOUGH #1:

1 c. water
1 c. flour
3 eggs
1 stick butter
1 tsp. almond extract

Boil water and butter together. Remove from fire and add flour. Stir until smooth. Set aside to cool. When cool, add eggs, one at a time and mix until dough is smooth after each addition. Add almond and mix well.

DOUGH #2:

1 c. flour
1 stick butter
1 tbsp. or more cold water

Mix like pie crust. Divide into 2 parts and pat onto cookie sheet in 2 strips. Pile #1 dough on top of strips and bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or until done. Test for doneness by inserting silver knife. Remove from oven when done and frost while hot.

Make frosting while cake is baking. NEVER USE AN ENAMEL PAN FOR MIXING.

FROSTING:

1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. almond extract
2 tbsp. butter

Add milk to mix until it is spreadable.
