GLORIFIED RICE | |
1 c. reg. rice 3 c. water 1 tsp. salt 1 reg. size can crushed pineapple 1/2 c. maraschino cherries 1/2 pt. whipped cream, whipped Drop of cherry juice Bring to boil first 3 ingredients. Simmer for 12 minutes. Leave cover on pan and turn off heat for 20 minutes. Put in colander and pour cold water over to separate kernels. Now take 2 cups rice and add pineapple and cherries. Fold in whipped cream. Add a drop of cherry juice to give color. |
