GROUND TURKEY AND VEGETABLES IN
PITA
 
1 lb. thawed ground turkey
1/2 c. chopped green peppers
1/2 c. chopped onion
20 oz. pkg. frozen broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower
5 oz. canned potatoes
2 pita breads (8 inch rounds, cut in half)

SAUCE:

1/2 c. water
1/4 c. soy sauce
4 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. ginger

Combine these ingredients and stir until cornstarch is dissolved.

Brown turkey in skillet, add peppers and onion and saute until onions are transparent. Add frozen vegetables and cook till tender. Add the sauce and potatoes to the skillet mixture and heat until potatoes are hot. Cut 2 pita breads in half, toast lightly and stuff with meat mixture to serve. Makes 4 servings.
