SOUTHERN PRALINE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. buttermilk
1 lb. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt

TOPPING:

1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
6 tbsp. milk
1 can coconut
1 c. chopped pecans

Melt butter in warm buttermilk. Add brown sugar and eggs; mix well. Add vanilla. Mix dry ingredients. Add together. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

Topping: Melt butter with brown sugar and milk. Pour over hot cake in pan. Sprinkle with coconut and pecans. Place under broiler until it bubbles.
