CHINESE SPARERIBS 
3-4 lb. pkgs. sauerkraut
2 tsp. garlic powder
Water to cover sauerkraut
1 qt. white wine
4-5 pkgs. Chinese spareribs
2-3 peeled apples (whole)

Put sauerkraut and apples in roasting pan. Cover with water. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Pour 1/2 bottle of wine over sauerkraut. Bake for 2 hours at 350 degrees.

Add spareribs, sprinkle 1 teaspoon garlic powder on spareribs. Pour remaining wine over spareribs. Put back in oven and bake 2 more hours, covered, and uncover about 1 hour before serving. Serve with mashed potatoes.
