MULLED WINE 
Mix in a 3 quart saucepan:

1 quart good quality wine of your choice
1/2 c. sugar
Peel of 1 lemon, cut into thin strips
10 whole cloves
2 sticks cinnamon

Bring wine and sugar to a boil.

Reduce heat, cover; add spices and simmer over lowest heat for 15 minutes; do not boil. Strain.

Return liquid to saucepan and reheat.

Pour into mugs and sprinkle lightly with nutmeg.

Serves 6.
