BEANS AND WIENERS | |
2 tbsp. butter 1/4 c. chopped onion 1/3 c. green pepper, chopped 1 c. pineapple rings (reserve syrup) 1 pkg. wieners, cut into chunks 1 (31 oz.) can pork and beans 2 tbsp. vinegar 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1/3 c. ketchup 1/3 c. brown sugar 1 can chow mein noodles Cut pineapple into chunks, reserve 3 or 4 rings for garnish. Saute pepper, onion, pineapple and wiener chunks in butter. Simmer 5 minutes. Add pineapple syrup, vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup and brown sugar; heat until bubbly. Pour pork and beans into medium baking dish, add pineapple mixture, stir gently to blend; place pineapple rings on top of casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 6. |
