6 oz. pkg. semi sweet chocolate morsels 3 c. Kellogg's corn flakes 2 c. sifted regular all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. soft butter 2 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring 1. Melt chocolate morsels over very low heat, stirring constantly. 2. Measure flakes, then crush to 1 cup. 3. Sift together flour, soda and salt. 4. Beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients; mix thoroughly. Fold in flakes. Swirl warm melted chocolate lightly through batter leaving streaks of chocolate. Drop by level teaspoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes or until done. Optional, add 1/2 cup walnuts. |
