EASY GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE | |
1 c. chopped pecans 1 c. shredded coconut 1 (18 1/4 oz.) German chocolate cake mix 1 stick butter 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, cut in pieces 1 (16 oz.) pkg. confectioners sugar Mix pecans and coconut together and place in the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Prepare cake mix as directed and spoon over pecan coconut mixture. In a saucepan, heat butter, and cream cheese together and mix well. Add confectioners sugar and remove pan from heat. Blend until smooth. Spoon over top of cake mix. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Do not cut until cold. |
