7-UP POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. solid shortening
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
1 c. (minus 1 tbsp.) 7-Up

Cream together the butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs and continue beating; add flour gradually. Add vanilla and lemon flavoring and then slowly add 7-Up (do not substitute 7-Up). Into greased and floured tube pan, pour mixture. Bake at 325-350 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
