WATER CHESTNUTS 
1 lb. bacon
3 sm. cans water chestnuts, whole

SAUCE:

1 c. sugar
2/3 c. ketchup

Cut bacon in thirds. Wrap around the water chestnuts and put toothpick in to hold bacon in place. Bake 1 hour at 300 degrees. Drain grease or use another pan. Mix sauce and pour over water chestnuts. Bake again at 300 degrees for 1 hour.
