GOLDEN CHOCOLATE TREASURE
COOKIES
 
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (10 oz.) pkg. (1 1/2 c.) Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate treasures baking pieces
1 c. coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large mixer bowl, beat brown sugar and butter until creamy, 3 to 5 minutes. Add egg and vanilla extract; mix well. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Stir in Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate treasures baking pieces and pecans.

Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Let stand 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheets; cool completely. Makes about 18 (2 1/2 inch) cookies.
