HOLIDAY TRIFLE | |
1 box strawberry Jello 1 pound cake 1 qt. fresh strawberries 1 box instant banana pudding 4 to 5 lg firm bananas 1 box instant pistachio pudding 1 pack of Baker's shredded coconut 1 box heavy home whipped cream into peaks (add 1/4 cup sugar when beating cream) pecans halves Shaved Chocolate The perfect dish for every holiday and season! You can switch the colored layers around to the top of the dish according to the holiday. I designed this recipe to meet that 1 unique special dessert appropriate for all occasions! It makes a great crowd pleaser. Put this holiday trifle in layers in a beautiful solid clear bowl! Use candles and flowers to match the occasion. HOLIDAY TRIFLE: Allow puddings to set a couple of minutes. 1 box strawberry jello, mixed and cooled, then refrigerate until almost set, do not allow to completely set. Add 1 pound cake in large chunks into the Jello. Add a thick layer of fresh, juicy strawberries sliced in halves. Add 1 box instant banana pudding mixed according to directions. Add a thick layer of thickly sliced bananas. Add 1 box instant pistachio pudding mixed according to package directions. Add 1 pack of Baker's shredded coconut. Add 1 box heavy home whipped cream into peaks (add 1/4 cup sugar when beating cream) or 1 can of Ready Whip in the can. Do not use Cool Whip for this recipe. Top with fresh strawberries (shaped in a Heart for Valentine Day), place 1/2 pecans and shaved dark chocolate curls for decorations. Enjoy! - Connie, Steamboat Springs, CO.
