FRIED CABBAGE 
1 sm. head cabbage
1/2 lb. bacon
1 onion
1 carrot
Tabasco sauce
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Chop bacon and cook in large pan until brown but not crisp. Add chopped onion and cook until soft. Shred cabbage and grate carrot. Add both to the pan and cook over high heat, stirring continuously. Cabbage should still be slightly crisp. Season with Tabasco, salt and pepper. Any cooked diced meat may be added.
