PECAN POUND CAKE 
1 c. pecan (or walnuts)
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 3/4 c. sugar
2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs

Grease and flour 10 inch tube pan. Sprinkle bottom with the nuts. In a bowl, combine remaining ingredients, except eggs, and mix at medium speed for 2 minutes until well blended. Add 4 eggs, one at a time, and beat until smooth. Pour into prepared pan and bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.
