LYNNDA'S COCOA BROWNIES 
2/3 c. cocoa
2/3 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
4 tbsp. cooking oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts, optional

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease baking pan, 13 x 9 inches. Melt shortening in a saucepan. Remove from heat and add cocoa and oil. Mix in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Spread in pan. Bake 30 minutes or until browns start to pull away from sides of pan.
