PEANUT BRITTLE CANDY 
1 1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. white Karo
1/2 c. water
3 c. raw peanuts
1 stick butter
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, Karo and water in an 8 inch iron skillet. Cook these until they spin a thread when you pour it from the spoon. Then add nuts and butter and cook until the nuts are done, they will begin to crack and pop. Then remove from fire and add soda and flavoring. Stir well and quick. Then pour onto a greased cookie sheet, make it as thin as you can. Let it cool and break it into pieces.
