PEANUT BUTTER CRISS CROSSES
COOKIES
 
1 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. peanut butter
3 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Stir in peanut butter. Sift dry ingredients. Stir into creamed mixture. Drop by spoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Press with back of floured fork to make criss crosses. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen cookies.
