OLD FASHIONED FRESH APPLE CAKE 
1 c. salad oil
2 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. pecans or black walnuts
3 c. sour cooking apples, chopped
1 (6 oz.) pkg. butterscotch chips

In large bowl mix well salad oil, eggs and sugar. In separate bowl, sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon, baking powder. Add to mixture.

Stir in nuts and chopped apples. Mix well spread mixture in greased 13 x 9 inch pan. Distribute butterscotch chips on top of cake. Bake at 350 degrees fifty five to sixty minutes. Cool and cut into squares. For heat results, bake one day before serving.
