OLD - FASHIONED RAISIN PIE | |
1 1/2 c. seedless raisins 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. flour Juice of 1 lemon 1/2 c. raisin water 1 1/2 tbsp. butter Pour boiling water over the raisins (at least 1-1 1/2 cups). Let stand until cool. Drain and save the water. Into the raisins mix the sugar, salt and flour. Pour into uncooked pastry lined pan, sprinkle juice of lemon and a little lemon rind and 1/2 cup water that was saved. Dot with the butter and place unbaked pastry on top. |
