1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
4 tablets melted chocolate
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks and chocolate. Sift flour, spices, salt, and baking powder 3 times. Add alternately with sour milk and baking soda.

Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
