PERSIMMON CRANBERRY SALAD 
1 c. sugar
1 pkg. fresh cranberries (in a pinch can use whole cranberry sauce)
4 apple Pesimmons
4 Granny Smith apples
4 oranges
2 grapefruit
1 banana
1 c. chopped nuts
2 cans pineapple chunks

DRESSING:

3 tbsp. sugar or honey
1 c. sour cream
12 oz. Cool Whip
1/2 c. real mayonnaise

Cook cranberries with 1 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons water; drain well. Reserve juice to use for jelly, syrup or in baking. Chop all fruit together alternating citrus and other. Mix often to avoid oxidation of apples and bananas.
