1 egg
1 onion
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. cornmeal
1 diced hot pepper
2 tbsp. fish grease
1/2 c. buttermilk

Mix onion, pepper, cheese, egg, flour, cornmeal and grease. Add buttermilk, if too moist, add more cornmeal. Salt and pepper. Fry in deep grease until brown.
