CHERRY NUT BREAD 
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 c. milk
3 c. Bisquick
1 c. candied cherries
3/4 c. nuts, chopped

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Blend first 4 ingredients. Beat hard 30 seconds. Stir in cherries and nuts. Pour into well greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake 45-55 minutes or until toothpick stuck into center comes out clean. Crack on top is characteristic. Cool and wrap in aluminum foil. Store for 1 day before slicing.
