1/4 c. plain flour
1 dash salt
1 c. sweet milk
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
2 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 c. Crisco

Mix flour, milk and salt. Cook over low heat until thick. Add vanilla and set aside to cool. Mix together the sugar, Crisco, and butter; beat at high speed until fluffy. Add cold cooked mixture and beat at high speed until fluffy. Ice cake when cooled.
