OVEN TOASTED SWEDISH PECAN NUTS 
2 egg whites, beaten stiff
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 stick butter, melted
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. pecan halves and other nuts

After beating the egg whites, add the sugar, vanilla and salt. Then stir in nuts, covering all nuts well. Spread evenly in a pan, pour 1 stick of melted butter on top. Bake 350 degrees about 50 minutes, stirring about every 12 to 15 minutes while baking, until lightly brown. Stir a few seconds while cooling.
