BUCKEYE BALLS 
1 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 c. lightly salted butter, room temp.
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box confectioners' sugar
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 tbsp. solid vegetable shortening

Mix peanut butter, vanilla, butter and sugar with hand to form a smooth dough. Mixture will stiffen, shape dough in small balls, place on wax paper and put in refrigerator.

In top of double boiler, melt chocolate and shortening; when smooth pour into a small bowl. Dip ball of peanut butter mixture into chocolate. Return to refrigerator until chocolate is coated.
