2 c. lukewarm water 1 pkg. yeast 6 tbsp. shortening 6 - 6 1/4 c. flour Let rise only 1/2 time raises 2X faster. Shape loaves after 1 rising. Let rise again and bake in 400 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes. After taking out of loaf pans grease well. For a soft crust use butter. |
