EMPANADAS (TURNOVERS) 
3 c. flour
2 sticks butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 (8 oz.) jar preserves or jam

Mix flour with softened butter and cream cheese until well blended. Make 1 inch balls and roll out on lightly floured board to 1/4 inch thickness. Place about 1 tablespoon filling on one half and fold over. Press with a fork to seal the edges and stab a few holes in the top. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10 to 20 minutes or until brown.
