BANANA NUT RING 
2 pkgs. (3 oz. each) or 1 pkg. (6 oz.) Jello, pineapple, grapefruit, lemon or orange flavored Jello works well in this salad
2 c. boiling water
1 can (13 1/2 oz.) pineapple tidbits
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
2 bananas, sliced
1 envelope Dream Whip, prepared according to directions or 1 c. whipping cream, whipped

Dissolve Jello in boiling water. Drain pineapple. Measure syrup and add cold water to make 1 1/2 cups, add to Jello. Chill until thick. Fold in pecans and bananas. Pour into 1 1/2 quart ring mold.

Chill until firm. Prepare whipped topping mix as directed on package or whip the cream; fold in drained pineapple. Chill. To serve, unmold ring and spoon pineapple mixture into center. Makes about 5 cups Jello and 2 cups pineapple mixture, or 8 to 10 servings.
