8 c. pears
6 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1 lg. can pineapple
Spice if you like

Wash pears carefully and peel and chop into fine pieces. Add pineapple, sugar, spice, and water. Boil until thick and pour while boiling hot into hot jars and seal.
