BISCOCHITOS (ANISE SEED COOKIES) 
6 c. flour
3 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. anise seed
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
1 tbsp. cinnamon

Cream shortening with 1 cup sugar and anise seed. Add the egg yolks. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Mix in the water. Combine the two mixtures and knead until well mixed. Roll out to a 1/3 inch thickness and cut into fancy shapes.

Combine the 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon and dust the top of the cookies. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned.
