RAISIN FILLED COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
6 c. flour

FILLING:

Boil:

2 c. ground raisins
1/4 c. water

Add:

2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 c. sugar
Cornstarch

Roll out dough. Cut with round cookie cutter. Place on cookie sheet. Top with teaspoon of raisin mixture. Top with another cookie and press down edges. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.
