2 c. water
1 heaping tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

In sauce pan put sugar and flour. Mix well. Gradually pour water into mix. Heat on low heat until slightly thick. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour over individual compots of persimmon pudding on custard bread pudding.
