SWEET AND SOUR BEEF STEW 
1 1/2 lb. beef stew meat, cut up
2 tbsp. oil
1 c. shredded carrots
1 c. sliced onions
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce or 2 sm. cans
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1 tbsp. Lea & Perrins Sauce

Brown meat in oil. Add all the remaining ingredients and cook over low heat 1 1/2 hours. Thicken with 1 tablespoon cold water mixed with 2 teaspoons cornstarch. Serve over noodles or rice. Real tasty.
