HAM AND CHEESE STRATA 
8 slices white bread (Pepperidge thin)
2 c. med. Cheddar cheese, grated
2 c. chopped ham
1 (2 oz.) can mushrooms
1/4 c. chopped parsley
2 1/4 c. milk
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. paprika
Dash of pepper

Trim crusts from 5 slices of bread. Place remaining 3 slices and trimmings in bottom of buttered dish; top with ham, cheese, mushrooms, and parsley. Cut remaining bread into half diagonally and arrange on top in 2 rows.

Mix beaten eggs, milk, salt, mustard and pour over entire surface. Cover and let stand overnight in refrigerator. Bake in 325 degree oven for 60 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting. Serves 8-10. This is a quiche type.
