BISCUITS 
2 c. flour (mix 1 1/2 cups white and 1/2 cup whole wheat, if desired)
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
3 tbsp. melted shortening

Mix lightly and turn out onto floured board. Knead until smooth. Turn biscuits in greased pan to lightly grease on top. Bake in 425 to 450 degree oven until brown.
