CHOCOLATE NUT DROP COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
2 sq. (2 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk
2 tbsp. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
1 c. shredded coconut
1/2 c. chopped nutmeats

Combine sugar, chocolate, salt, syrup and milk in medium sized saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, to 236 degrees, until a soft ball forms when dropped into cold water.

Remove from heat; stir in vanilla, butter, oats, coconut and nutmeats. Drop immediately by teaspoonful onto waxed paper. 3 dozen.
