SOUR CREAM AND FRUIT CAKE 
1/4 lb. butter
2 tbsp. sugar
1 whole egg
1 egg yolk
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon flavoring

TOPPING:

2 egg yolks
1/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
3 egg whites, beaten
Apples, half cooked, peaches or cherries

Cream butter and sugar together. Add remaining ingredients. Beat well. Press into 9" springform pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Cover with apples, peaches or cherries.

For topping. beat egg yolks, sugar, vanilla and sour cream together. Fold in egg whites. Spread carefully over fruit and bake in moderate oven, 350 degrees until golden brown.
