PEAR RELISH 
2 gal. or 1 peck pears
6 med. onions
3 sweet peppers
3 hot peppers
1 tbsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. pickling spice
4 c. sugar
4 c. vinegar

Grind pears, onions and peppers. Add all other ingredients. Cook 1 hour. Pour into hot jars and seal. Makes about 14 pints.
