BUFFET GREEN BEANS 
8 slices bacon, chopped
1 large onion, sliced
1/2 c. white vinegar
1/4 c. sugar
3 (16 oz.) cans whole green beans, drained

Cook bacon and onion in large skillet over medium heat, stirring often, until bacon is crisp. Remove bacon and onion with slotted spoon, reserving 1/4-cup drippings in pan. Drain bacon and onions on paper towels; set aside. Combine sugar and vinegar; pour into reserved drippings and bring to a boil. Add beans; cook over medium heat until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally. Spoon into a serving dish; top with bacon and onions.

Yield: 8 servings.
