WHEAT - NUT MUFFINS 
1 1/4 c. natural wheat (Grape Nuts)
1 c. milk
1 lg. egg
1/2 c. melted butter
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. salt

In medium bowl, combine cereal and milk; let stand for 5 minutes. Whisk in egg and melted butter. In large bowl, combine all-purpose and wheat flour, sugar, baking powder, allspice, and salt. Pour liquid ingredients into dry ingredients, stirring quickly just until mixed. Spoon batter into 12 greased 2 1/2 inch muffin cups. Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Yield: 12 muffins.
