THIMBLE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg, separated
1 tsp. flavoring
1 c. sifted flour
Nuts, chopped

Cream butter and sugar gradually. Mix well. Add well-beaten egg yolk, flavoring and flour. Shape into balls about size of walnut. Dip in unbeaten egg whites, then chopped nuts. Dent in center with thimble. Place on greased sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Bake 12 to 15 minutes. Fill with jelly while hot.
