DONUT MUFFINS 
1/3 c. soft shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. milk
6 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg and beat well. Mix flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Add alternately with milk to egg mixture. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove from pans at once and roll in 6 tablespoons melted butter, then in mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
