KASS'S PECAN LADY FINGER COOKIES 
1 c. butter, creamed
1/3 c. granulated sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. water
2 c. flour*
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. pecans or walnuts

Combine ingredients. Shape into ladyfingers or roll into 1-inch balls and flatten slightly to no more than 1/4 to 1/2 thick.

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in 325°F oven. Roll in powdered sugar when cooled.

Tip: For an added taste of sweetness, roll in powdered while still slightly warm and then again after totally cooled. Mmmmm.

*A blend of half white flour and half whole wheat pastry flour is best.
