GRANDMA ALICE'S RAISIN CUSTARD

1 1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 tbsp. vinegar
2 egg yolks
3 tbsp. cornstarch

Cook raisins, 1 1/2 cups water and vinegar about 10 minutes. Mix egg yolks, 1/2 cup water and cornstarch. Add to cooked raisins and cook until thick. Pour into a baked pie shell. Egg whites may be used to make a meringue topping for pie.
