SHEPHERD'S HASH 
1 c. cubed, cooked meat (leftover, canned, etc.)
1 1/2 c. sauerkraut, drained and chopped
1 c. gravy (canned, cream sauce, cream soup, etc.)
Seasonings to taste: salt, pepper, celery and caraway seed)
Sauteed vegetables (onion, celery, bell pepper and carrots)
Mashed potatoes, mixed with beaten egg and-or grated cheese

Stove top version: Combine meat, kraut, gravy and seasonings and heat in skillet. Brown "globs" of potato mixture on both sides in hot butter or oil. Serve "hash" over potatoes.

Oven version: Place combined meat mixture in a greased baking dish. Cover lightly with potato mixture; dot with butter. Bake at 350 degrees until top is browned.
