ANGEL BISCUITS 
2 pkg. yeast
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. water
3/4 c. vegetable oil
2 c. buttermilk
5 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
3 tsp. baking powder
4 tbsp. sugar

Dissolve yeast in warm water (110 degrees). Add the 1 tablespoon sugar. Let buttermilk set in a glass bowl approximately 10 minutes. Add oil and add ingredients. Knead dough on floured surface until smooth. Cut with 2-inch cutter. Place on lightly greased baking sheet, approximately 1/2 inch apart.

Let rise for 30 minutes. Bake 15 minutes at 400 degrees.

TO MAKE BUTTERMILK: 2 cups milk, 2 tablespoons vinegar or lemon juice. Stir well and let set for 10 minutes.
