OPEN - FACED MELTED CHEESE
SANDWICH
 
1 slice bread, your choice
1 (6 x 4 inch) slice Swiss cheese or your choice
1 slice tomato (optional)
2 slices bacon, halved & cooked

Place bacon on a microwave bacon rack or a paper towel-lined microwave-safe plate. Cover with paper towel. Cook on High for 2 to 3 minutes until crisp. Toast the bread in a toaster. Tear the cheese slice in half crosswise and place the halves on top of the bread. If you like, place the tomato or the bacon, or the tomato and bacon between the cheese halves. Place the bread on a paper-lined microwave-safe plate. Cook on High for 20 to 40 seconds until the cheese starts to melt. Makes 1 serving.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
